Talking to an Insurance Adjuster after an Auto Accident

If you’ve been involved in a collision or if you’ve been struck by a motor vehicle and you’re injured, it’s important to talk to an auto accident attorney first.

Auto Insurance – Initial Statements

Because an auto insurance company is going to try and reach out to you immediately after the accident or collision and they’re going to want to get a statement from you about what happened. They’re going to want to limit payments for any future injury or treatment to that initial statement.

Limiting Payments on Auto Accident Injuries

For example, if you have symptoms that come to light immediately after the accident versus symptoms that come to light a few weeks later when you try to go back to work to resume your normal activities, the insurance company is going to limit the payment of that claim to the information you gave them immediately after the incident.
